Figurative Painter

Paintings are not pictures; they are a document that records every mark, added or removed from the surface. The considered compositional choices of these documents create the visual language that all true art strives to convey. In my own work I have found the figure to be a returning constant; a relatable and enduring subject that allows an instant connection between the viewer and the piece.
